Rediscovering the old trails

These old routes are the trails used by locals in the period when bus service was yet to be introduced to Pangi valley.

People took these roads to travel as far as Lahaul from Killar, tolling almost 80 kms on foot. When compared to the parallel highway built by BRO, this route offers a shorter distance between the destinations, yet it requires courage to traverse the mighty Chandrabhaga at a dizzy height. The trek that we are offering, leads to Mindhal and Ajog from Phindpar taking you through risky and tough terrain at places. From this side of the Pangi, one can have a breath-taking view of Chandrabhaga river along with outdoor camping experiences.
